UKICC
Dennis Wall summed it all up when he said “If you want change - you've got to do something constructive about it!!” and “Unless (people) put their views across in unison, things aren't going to change.”
Well I am trying to do something constructive about it. In order to bring ideas and people together: in order to find out what problems people have and in order to find ways to help them and put those views across in unison I have started a Google Group, UKICC. This is a group formed to research and formulate ideas with a view to planning and implementing the participation in International Pigeon Racing throughout the UK. This is not an attempt to form yet another Club to rival and challenge the BICC, the BBC, the NFC or any other. The object here is to find ways to facilitate and encourage International Racing throughout the UK through those organisations. To strengthen them where they are weak, to supplement them where they are absent and generally to assist and encourage wherever possible.
So if you are interested in International Racing and if you are having problems in understanding or getting started or on the other hand you want to help to spread its popularity and availability throughout the UK then come and join us. If you have any questions then join and ask, as we already have a core of experience available who, if they do not know the answers, will find them out. If you have any ideas on what should be done then come and join us and share your views. If you haven’t got a clue but would like to follow it all then come and join us because you will be welcome to. It has only just started so you will be getting in on the ground level and it won’t all be done in a day, but unless all those who are interested get together and do something it will never be done at all.
You need to have a Google Account before you can join a Group and in case you are unfamiliar with how to apply for a Google Account or Join a Group you can find some help and instructions HERE.
Before you start to wonder it is ALL FREE.
Mike Link
This is very much Mike Link’s project. It is his idea and his desire in which I am pleased to assist. While you will see my name in prominent places it is only because I have the facilities and the time. Mike works hard and has a family, so his time is short, and for that reason I shall take on much of the administration. But it is a cause I have much interest in so I shall also be taking part.
